Scout 137 Drone System (Next-Generation)

The Scout 137 Drone System is a next-generation industrial inspection drone designed for GPS-denied and confined environments such as tanks, shafts, tunnels, and enclosed process assets.

The system combines high-resolution onboard 3D LiDAR, visual sensors, and proprietary navigation software to deliver rock-steady positioning, precise distance control, and location-tagged inspection data. This enables systematic, repeatable inspections with full spatial context.

Scout 137 is tethered, providing unlimited flight time with continuous power and data transfer. The fully wired connection ensures stable operation without RF interference, eliminates signal loss, and removes fire and thermal risks associated with lithium-based batteries, making it suitable for safety-critical environments.

The drone streams live Full HD video while capturing high-resolution 4K visual data for post-inspection analysis and reporting.

The next-generation UTM Payload enables robotic Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements (UTM) and integrates active spot cleaning directly into the inspection workflow. A motorized cleaning module removes coatings, corrosion products, and surface contamination only where needed, preparing the measurement point immediately before probing. This eliminates manual surface preparation and enables true in-situ thickness measurements without human entry.

The UTM probe is mounted on a motorized mechanism that provides controlled contact pressure and precise positioning, allowing reliable measurements on horizontal, vertical, and inclined surfaces. Cleaning, coupling, and measurement are performed as a single, continuous robotic operation, improving data quality and repeatability in real-world inspection conditions.

All inspection data, including video, images, spatial context, and measurement results, is uploaded to the Scout Portal for review, collaboration, and reporting. The platform also supports live streaming of inspections to onshore teams, clients, or class societies, enabling real-time decision-making.

The Scout 137 system supports fully robotic inspection workflows, proven in complex offshore and industrial assets, including FPSO crude oil tanks.
